Beginner Knitting

Learn the basics of knitting: knit, purl, cast on, cast off, increase, decrease. A simple project, like a scarf, will be worked on.

HATS FOR BEGINNERS This class will explore the various ways of making a hat in the round. Use of circular and double-pointed needles will be discussed. When you know the basics, there’s no end to the hat styles you can make. Basic knowlege of knitting is a prerequisite for this class.

MITTENS
Keep your friends and family cozy with mittens. Learn a quick and easy project using double-pointed needles. Basic knowledge of knitting required.

NEEDLE FELTING WORKSHOP
Learn to make objects using wool roving—make beads, toys, and embellish clothing. No prior experience required.

DROP SPINDLE WORKSHOP
Learn how to make your own yarn by spinning with a drop spindle. Discover dyeing techniques and explore different fibers including wool, silk, and alpaca.

SPINNING WHEEL WORKSHOP
Experience the joy of using a spinnning wheel. Learn how to draft and ply in different ways. Deepen your understanding of fibers. Practice time will be made available.

SWEATER DESIGN WORKSHOP
Design the sweater you have always wanted. Learn how to measure and use gauge for perfect fit. Then add details like collars and necklines for a sweater that is truly your own.

FINISHING WORKSHOP

25% deposit is required at registration.

Cancellation policy: Full refund of deposit will be given for cancellations made up to two weeks prior to the first day of scheduled class. After this time, refunds will be given only if the spot can be filled by another student. Please be considerate.
